The party must, sadly, always end, but not without a bang on the White Isle. For many, Ibiza in September is the best time to go. The hoards have left the beach, yet the clubs are still pulling in the big names.

One of the most rambunctious spots on the island is still Pikes Hotel. The hotel was originally founded by Tony Pike in the early 1980s and then bought by Dawn Hindle and Andy Mckay (founders of Manumission)  and refurbished with a collaboration with interiors style leaders Rockett St George. The eclectically furnished hotel is a home from home for many Ibiza old timers and has raucous house parties every Saturday. Coming up this weekend, the usual hearty fare (such as slow cooked pig cheek with fig) will be temporarily replaced with Vietnamese, courtesy of Vietvan, founded by Kate Moss’s brother Nick. Expect dishes such as caramelised chicken, lemongrass pork and chilli and pepper tofu. Also headlining on Saturday will be Ronnie Scotts, which is coming over from London for one night,  featuring musicians The Femi Koleoso Quartet and Funky Nation DJ’s Mike Vitti.

Pikes has been the scene of many a debauched evening, with a star following which includes Grace Jones, Spandau Ballet and Freddie Mercury. Tucked away in the hills, you never quite know where the evening will take you, but it is always going to be fun.

Rooms from £180 per person per night.

An Evening with Vietvan: September 21st. 8pm till late.

Ronnie Scott’s Takeover: September 22nd.
