To celebrate the collaboration with new film adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s much-loved classic, Boodles has also released a new themed collection

British jeweller Boodles has been named as the official jewellery partner of the upcoming adaptation of The Secret Garden, slated for release next month. Starring Colin Firth and Julie Walters, the new film follows Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic children's tale of Mary (played by Dixie Egerickx), who is delivered into the care of her strict uncle after being orphaned. Once on his estate in Yorkshire, she soon discovers a wondrous garden.

Such marvellous flora provided a wealth of inspiration for Boodle's designers, who have crafted a nature-themed jewellery range around the story.

“We had no shortage of ideas for new pieces," says Head of Design Rebecca Hawkins. "There are so many themes to explore; secrets, transformation, fresh beginnings - and of course, nature itself. British landscape and flora are perennial favourites at Boodles.”

Comprised of 40 pieces, the Secret Garden collection features a number of individual suites based on key moments and motifs in the film, such as Snowdrop, New Beginnings and Walled Garden. Delicate linear structures resemble the bricks of the Walled Garden, for instance, detailed with jewelled blooms and shaped into bracelets or earrings. There is also a special charm bracelet available, designed to resemble the Secret Garden's lock, which will have all sale profits donated to the NSPC.

The Secret Garden is due for filmic release on October 23. For more information on the Secret Garden jewellery collection, visit boodles.com.
