We spotlight King's Fine Food, Royal Warrant Holder, and purveyor of beluga caviar and other varieties.

As featured in Royalty in Britain Magazine.

Whether eaten on a mother-of-pearl spoon or delicately piled onto the back of a hand, there’s no doubting the ritualistic luxury of eating caviar. Few understand the intricacies of these small ceremonies more than Laura King MBE, aka Britain’s Caviar Queen. With decades of expertise, she has helped shape Britain’s appreciation of fine caviar, educating chefs and private clients alike in the art of sourcing, serving and savouring the world’s most exquisite roe.

Laura has cemented her position as the UK’s leading authority on caviar, bringing to market the finest varietals, including Beluga, Oscietra and rarer selections. King’s Fine Food is a Royal Warrant holder by Appointment to His Majesty The King. A testament to both the product quality and service to the Royal Household, King’s Fine Food has firmly established itself as one of Britain’s pre-eminent artisans. It’s for this reason that King’s is the supplier of choice for airlines, prestigious restaurants, high-end retailers, hotels and discerning private clients across the UK.

King’s is and always has been a family-run business. Laura works alongside her daughter, Holly, who plays a pivotal role in leading tastings and educational events. They are committed to ensuring the family ethos stays at the heart  of the company by honouring John King, Holly’s father and Laura’s husband, who they tragically lost to a glioblastoma brain tumour.

It is in his memory that they continue a legacy of both culinary excellence – John was one of the industry’s most respected chefs who worked at The Ritz Club, The Dorchester, The Connaught, Le Caprice – and of philanthropy. Ten per cent of all net profits are donated annually to the John King Brain Tumour Foundation, which they established in tribute to him. It is for her fundraising that Laura received an MBE in 2021.
