A proud champion “slow fashion”, Beaumont’s covetable collection of clothing and handbags features an array of timeless styles that are crafted to last

With much of the UK opening its doors again, chances are you're currently in the market for some swish spring styles to step out in. High on our shopping list is the latest range from Lalage Beaumont, a homegrown designer who has been creating luxurious modern classics since the establishment of her eponymous label in 2004. All of her pieces are crafted in London using top quality British fabrics and trims wherever possible, supplemented by short runs of exclusive materials from European mills.

As a "slow fashion" designer, Beaumont's styles are made sustainably, complete with timelessly elegant looks to ensure that each piece transcends sartorial fads, allowing the wearer to enjoy it for years to come.

The Spring/Summer 2021 collection features clothing in shades of champagne, coral and aqua, with silk textures lending a sumptuous feel alongside brocade and lightweight tweed. Flattering dress coats make for the perfect layering piece, while A-line midi dresses can easily be dressed up or down from day to night. Complete ensembles with one of Beaumont's smart new-season Maya handbags, inspired by the styles of the 1950s and 60s. Each Maya has been made using leather from boutique tanneries in Florence and detailed with a central gold lock with secure magnetic fastening side straps. A detachable shoulder strap adds a versatile appeal.
