The American luxury jeweller’s popular women’s watch makes a welcome return for 2020, this time upgraded with a larger format design for added impact

Following the success of its Premier Lotus Automatic women's watch when it debuted last year, Harry Winston has revamped the timepiece for 2020. While the pink-hued lotus design on the dial remains the same, the watch dimensions have increased to an appealingly sizeable 36mm.

Lotus blooms, as Harry Winston fans may know, are a key motif at the American jeweller, having influenced a fine jewellery collection named Lotus Cluster back in 2015. Additionally, the same clustering technique (another brand signature) can be seen in the layered arrangement of 18-carat gold petals on the Premier Lotus dial, featuring a mix of white and pink mother-of-pearl, hammered white gold, 10 marquise-cut diamonds and 153 brilliant-cut diamonds. The lotuses appear to float on a sculpted mother-of-pearl background, while a large emerald-cut diamond sparkles from the 12 o'clock position.

The watch has been crafted with a Swiss-made mechanical automatic movement that is finished with a rose gold skeletonized rotor, circular Côtes de Genève bridge decoration, rhodium-plated parts, and circular base plate graining. Rather prettily, the movement can be viewed on the reverse side of the white gold 36mm case through a sapphire crystal. The case itself is set with 57 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the pastel pink alligator strap comes with an ardillon buckle set with 17 brilliant-cut diamonds.
