Marking its 30th anniversary year, Matches Fashion has extended its offering to include a bricks-and-mortar creative retail space and broadcasting hub in Mayfair

Extending its fashion empire to include a bricks-and-mortar retail, culture and content space, Matches Fashion has opened the doors to 5 Carlos Place, a 7,000 square foot, five-story townhouse in Mayfair. Inside the townhouse, which has been renovated by architects P Joseph, comprises two floors dedicated to private shopping suites, while the attic has been fitted with an open kitchen and chefs' table. With an emphasis on technology, the space also includes a broadcasting hub, enabling a range of cultural events, talks and installations to be live-streamed and to customers globally.

Kicking things off as they mean to go on, 5 Carlos Place will host 43 events throughout the months of September and October, starting with a Prada installation with Storey Studio, the creative studio set up by Richard Storey, and an exclusive collection for men and women. Following on from this, Mario Sorrenti will launch his book Kate at the townhouse, there will be a conversation between Richard Quinn and Sarah Mower, and masterclasses on flower arranging by Scarlet & Violet or with top chef Skye Gyngell. The creativity does not stop there – a monthly Musical Matches series will see artists such as Theresa Wayman of the L.A.-based band Warpaint perform.

Keeping in mind the need to be accessible and inclusive, every event can be live streamed or watched at a later date – transcripts and podcasts of events will be recorded and will be available online – similar to Instagram stories, meaning that everyone, no matter where in the world they are will able to participate and experience what's going on.

The full calendar of cultural and lifestyle events is available online via What’sOn - a dedicated new online hub. matchesfashion.com/5carlosplace
