Military silhouettes and iconic colour blocking: the Private White V.C. X RÆBURN capsule collection proves luxury craftmanship can be environmentally responsible
Hot on the fashion industry’s growing demand for environmentally friendly practice, iconic British brands Private White V.C. and RÆBURN collaborate on a five-piece collection, ‘Made in England’.
Designed in East London and constructed in Private White V.C.’s Manchester headquarters, the collection has sustainability at its core, with all five pieces designed with efficient material use in mind.
Marrying a military legacy in both silhouettes and materials, three reversible pieces – a jacket, tote and bucket hat – are crafted from Ventile® on one side, a weatherproof material with roots in Manchester where it was first developed for World War II Royal Air Force pilots.
C9 Parachutes – used by air forces globally and recognisible in RÆBURN’s logo – are RÆMADE for the other side of the reversible pieces and featured as striking colour-blocked pockets on the tee and trousers.
Epitomising Private White V.C. and RÆBURN’s collaborative goal of combining luxury craftsmanship with responsible material sourcing, the bucket hat is crafted using waste cuts from the core’s centrepiece, the Reversible Jacket.
