If you go down to the woods today, you might be lucky enough to bump into Tom Kerridge conflagrating a lamb on an open fire and serving up buttery flame-grilled langoustines alongside crisp glasses of Veuve Clicquot. We were lucky enough to get a preview of the chef’s rugged fire feasts taking place at bucolic hideaway the Wilderness Reserve, a collection of 14 cottages and barns hidden away in the deepest Suffolk countryside.

Favourite kitchen gadget?
A nice well-looked after knife by Yaxell or Savernake. I also love a big wooden chopping board.

Holiday destination?
Crete or Cyprus, I love Greek food. My top places to stay is the Blue Palace hotel in Elounda. They have a restaurant there like this fire feast – amazing meat on the grill.

Favourite TV show at the moment?
Succession.

Favourite home luxury?
My Thermador stove. They make professional ovens - I have two in my restaurant and one in my house. I am also a big fan of my Sub Zero fridge.

Watch of choice?
My favourite is a 20-year-old Rolex Submariner that my wife bought me for my 20th wedding anniversary, I actually use it all the time, rather than just looking at my phone.

Fashion label?
I am a trainers man: it is Adidas or Puma every time. Never Nike - my wide feet are not good for them!

Tom Kerridge hosted and launched the first of the Bonfire Fire Feast series happening quarterly throughout 2022 at Wilderness Reserve. Bonfire Fire Feast in the future will be hosted by a Michelin-starred chef, including Kerridge on selected dates. wildernessreserve.com
