Bringing the energy of a night out in Ginza to the Mandarin Oriental in Hyde Park, The Aubrey is known for delivering an eccentric izakaya experience. In the latest Youkoso series, which translates to “welcome” in Japanese, The Aubrey is hosting a chef guest series dedicated to showcasing the work of some of the best female chefs in the industry – which could not be more important now, as only one chef last year was included on the Michelin star awards. This month’s feature is Julie Lin, TV presenter, podcaster, and author of the 2025 cookbook SAMA SAMA. She'll be blending Malaysian cooking with Japanese Izakaya. Expect plates that pop with colour, layered spice, and unfiltered personality.

Julie will be at The Aubrey on 3 – 4 November. Reserve your seat here theaubreylondon

Lily Allen’s West-End Girl Tour Tickets on Sale

You’d truly have to live under a rock, or at least be seriously disengaged from the pop-culture zeitgeist, to have not heard about Lily Allen’s latest album. The 14 – track break-up album – written and produced in no less than ten days lays bare the demise of Lily’s marriage to Stranger Things actor, David Harbour. It’s a delicious display of female rage and dropped last week, sending the internet and tabloids into a tailspin. Now, she’s revealed she’ll be touring the album in March 2026. Given the reaction to the album release, tickets will no doubt fly. Tickets go on sale on 7th November – put all those skills you learnt in the Glastonbury queue to good use. lilyallenmusic.com

Fashion journalist and FT men’s critic, Alexander Fury, will be joined by Amanda Harlech, long-time collaborator of Karl Lagerfeld, who was once referred to as the “British aristocrat of haute couture”. Italy in the 60s, a fever-dream of post-war optimism and cinematic allure, with women clad in sunglasses and silk. Il Gattopardo, the high-end neighbourhood Italian on Albermarle Street, was inspired by such scenes. Part of the Zuma, Roka, and COYA family. The latest venture for the restaurant is in collaboration with Michelin star chef, Massino Spigaroli – or the “King of Culatello” to you – who has been entrusted with King Charles III’s own pigs of ancient English breeds. In the spirit of his speciality in highly prized cured meats, guests of Il Gattopardo’s will for a limited time only, get to taste the 24-month-aged Culatello Oro Spigaroli, alongside a glass of 2024 Sottimano Mate Rosso for £29.
