28th August 2026

From celebrating the London Oyster Championships with Stanley Tucci to fashion week pop-ups and private film screenings, this is the ultimate list of things to do in London this month.

September, in my opinion, is the best month of the year. The change in season brings with it a sense of newness and the appeal of a cosy winter hasn’t yet been ruined by months of rain. But that doesn’t mean it’s time to hibernate – quite the opposite. London is bursting at the seams with different things to do.

This month alone, we have a handful of foodie fixtures – everything from the London Oyster Championships, Michelin-starred chef pop-ups and Negroni Week celebrations – as well as private film screenings, trunk shows and fashion week events. This is everything we think you should do, see and eat this September.

Don’t let the romanticisation of autumn get in the way of enjoying the last of the good weather – you know you’ll miss it when it's gone. Irish chef-extraordinaire Richard Corrigan’s Mayfair haunt is still providing Michelin-star-worthy picnics. Filled to the brim with crunchy, fresh baguettes, sumptuous seafood, a selection of cheeses and desserts, it’s the ultimate way to savour London’s green spots.

London Jazz is synonymous with Ronnie Scott’s – a veritable institution that has been at the beating heart of the scene since 1959. On 10th September, the iconic Soho haunt will partner with Pérola Battersea, bringing a rotating line-up of Ronnie Scott’s artists to the sky-high bar. Spend the evening reminiscing over the golden era of Cuban son, salsa and Latin jazz with bold brass, percussion and rhythms – the perfect spot for an Autumn date night.

Everyone’s favourite Shoreditch Italian small-plates restaurant is putting on leisurely, family-style Sunday lunches this September. It begins with a fritto misto of seafood and seasonal vegetables, then a large centrepiece like lasagne or pork and beef meatballs with spaghetti is passed round the table. The pièce de résistance is the Sundaes on Sundays – a build-your-own gelato bar with a range of toppings. All to be enjoyed alongside various magnums selected by Head of Wine Emily Acha Derrington.
