Dare I say it, spring could be on its way. Fortunately, we’ve got a packed calendar of events for the next month. The lucky residents of Earl’s Court have been blessed with Templeton Garden, the elegant townhouse hotel. From 1st March, the hotel is partnering with The Design Museum to offer guests an immersive package inspired by the museum's highly sought-after exhibition, Wes Anderson: The Archives. Upon check-in, you’ll receive two tickets to the exhibition, an extraordinary showcase of the director’s meticulous craft, featuring over 700 objects from his personal collection. You’ll also receive a bespoke pocket map, highlighting nearby galleries, antiques spots, and cultural corners well worth exploring. Post-cultural fix, you can head to Sprout, Templeton Garden’s seasonally led bar, to enjoy a Wes Anderson-inspired cocktail. On the menu are The Grand Templeton Garden Hotel – inspired by The Grand Budapest Hotel - a cocktail blending croissant vodka, cacao, winter berries and citrus. There will also be The Wild Animal – inspired by Fantastic Mr Fox - a colonel fox gin tipple with chicken bone broth, amaro and English sweet vermouth.

Sal e Pepe is an institution that needs no introduction. Originally established in Knightsbridge, it’s been a celebrity haunt for over 50 years, welcoming everyone from Priscilla Presley to Rod Stewart. After many decades at the pinnacle of London’s Italian cuisine, the Thesleff Group is opening a second restaurant at The Langham London. Sal e Pepe Mare will capture the sun-soaked energy, vibrant dishes, and an unmistakable sense of la dolce vita. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the menu has a seafood focus, blending Knightsbridge originals with a fresh, modern edge to perfectly embody the spirit of Mediterranean dining. As expected, there will be a certain level of glamour and theatrics, thanks to the Champagne and Negroni trolley, where you’ll be able to sample iconic serves created using vintage spirits.

Visit Holborn Dining Room for British Pie Week

British Pie Week - things to do in London in March.
Rosewood London British Pie Week - Lamb and Charred Grilled Aubergine Pie.

It almost feels like a civic duty to celebrate British Pie Week. Nothing quite hits like buttery pastry, oozing savoury fillings and, of course, creamy mash. Between 2nd- 8th March, Rosewood London will be honouring this beloved culinary tradition. In the Holborn Dining Room, Head Chef Ilona Perczyk and Pie Maker Laszlo Kiss are presenting a collection of limited-edition pies. Each is a contemporary take on a classic filling, like chicken and wild mushroom, beer-braised beef rib and Montgomery cheddar and potato. For something a tad more luxurious, the hand-dived scallop and lobster pie is a must, but if you’re looking for something unapologetically British, the Shepherd’s pie is the one. Servings are paired with an unlimited supply of velvety mash. If you don’t have time to sit in, Rosewood London’s also running a “Pie Hole”, where you can pre-order a pie and take it away.

Whether it’s the fatigue of meeting people online or the desire to attend exclusive culinary events with like-minded individuals, the trend is showing no signs of slowing. This month, Nipotina, Samyukta Nair’s celebrated Italian restaurant in Mayfair, is launching Roots & Regions: a new monthly supper club series showcasing the regional traditions, seasonal rhythms and convivial elegance of the Italian table. The series debuts on 3rd March, with an International Women’s Day dinner in partnership with Cantina Vetrère, the all-women-run organic winery from Salento, Puglia. Future editions include La Cena dei 4 Formaggi on 14th April, a playful, cheese-led tasting with complementary cocktails, followed by The Southern Coast Seafood Feast on 19th May, celebrating coastal Italian cooking.

Mary Portas' International Women's Day lunch at The Barbary in Notting Hill.

Every year, when International Women’s Day rolls around, our feeds become flooded with “this girl can” style marketing campaigns. And while we relish the opportunity to celebrate women, it’s also important to make space for honest conversations about the reality of being a woman in 2026. One such opportunity to delve into that is a lunch and talk hosted by Mary Portas and Viv Groskop. The conversation, titled “An Open Letter to My Younger Self”, seeks to offer a lifetime of frank professional wisdom to future generations while enjoying food from The Barbary in Notting Hill. You can expect dishes such as yellowtail sashimi with brown butter and pistachio and burnt tomato salad with ricotta salata, as well as heartier plates of whole sea bass with chermoula and coffee rub chicken with delica pumpkin. Proceeds from the event will go towards The King’s Trust Change a Girl's Life campaign, supporting young women with the resources, confidence and opportunities they need to achieve their ambitions and build a brighter future.

Michelin-starred chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho’s Residency at The Donavon Bar

Chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho’s Residency at The Donavon Bar in March.

For quite some time, the calibre of Spanish food in London has been pretty exceptional. José Pizarro, for example, has had a presence in Bermondsey since early 2011, which has subsequently expanded to have three sites on the same street. But it was the arrival of Sabor in 2018 that really had the critics excited. Harden’s restaurant guide gave it full marks across the board (service, food and ambience) and the undercover Michelin inspectors quickly took notice, awarding the site a coveted star the same year it opened. Late last year, Legado opened to similar fanfare, drawing early praise and also earning a Michelin star. That’s all to say that Chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho, the culinary talent behind the restaurants, has firmly cemented herself as one of the most influential voices in London’s modern Spanish dining scene. From 9th March, she’ll be taking part in a three-month residency at The Donavon Bar in Brown’s Hotel. Nieves has created a Spanish-led menu designed exclusively for the series, featuring small plates (not available at Sabor or Legado) and crafted for late-night dining. Highlights include seared tuna with ajo blanco, Porthilly oysters with fino sherry emulsion and a deeply savoury arroz melosa, all paired with cocktails curated by Maestro Salvatore Calabrese and Director of Mixology Federico Pavan.
