The classic English spirit of Hambledon Vineyard Cuvées has fused with the sleek handcrafted cooler boxes of Fieldbar to bring us exclusive bundles of fizz and freeze. Ensuring that no warm wine is in sight wherever the picnic takes you - from Hampstead Heath to Hyde Park and beyond.

Summer is getting close and the parks of London are growing busier. Only few patches of grass remain untouched by picnic blankets and all Londoners flock to the city’s most open spaces for a few glasses of fizz and, no doubt, some M&S picky bits. Back in the pandemic days, picnics were one of the only ways for large groups to join outside the confines of a zoom call. This had people throwing their creative energy into picnics, and the visual aesthetic of them. Flooding Pinterest and TikTok with wine glass cake cutting and beautifully curated charcuterie boards. As we progress into 2024, Hambledon Vineyard continues our love for an aesthetically pleasing picnic. Teaming their exquisite English-made sparkling wines with minimalist handcrafted cooler boxes from Fieldbar. Leaving no lukewarm bubbly in sight, only a sleek box keeping your cuvée cool.

The Fieldbar drinks box comfortably accommodates two full bottles of Hambledon and is “inspired by the ‘Drinks Boxes’ of the Victorian Era,” says Kristen Duff, their Head of Brand and Marketing. Combined with the distinctive English character of Hambledon, this collab will make for traditionally sophisticated Great British picnics all summer long and into September (its technically summer then too!).

So, a bit about the cuvées themselves. Hambledon has been getting popped and poured since its beginning in 1952 as England’s oldest commercial vineyard. Since the first seed planted by Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones those many years ago, Hambledon haven’t looked back. Creating their classic cuvée along with blushing rosés and their Première Cuvée. Creamy and buttery with the lively sweetness of white summer fruits and aged 62 months on the lees (at least). The Première Cuvée is also exclusively sourced from Hambledon’s own estate in Windmill down, surrounded by the terroir of the South facing chalk slopes.

Hambledon’s classic cuvées are sealed off with their signature cobalt blue foil and silver embellishments. So, it’s no surprise that Fieldbar would go for a colour scheme that complements such a design. The Drinks Box comes in a white chalk hue. I like to think this is a nod to the chalky cliffs that neighbour the Hambledon Vineyard. For transportation with ease, the box also features a branded leather strap. A variety of bundles will be available featuring Hambledon wines as well as the drinks box.

A special offer marking the partnerships’ launch, the Tête-a-Tête bundle (£230), features two premium plastic glasses that are both washable and reusable. In addition to the Fieldbar drinks cooler box and a curated selection of Hambledon’s very best cuvées. For packing up the picnic and switching up destination or bringing your Hambledon home, a bottle stopper is also included. Helping you to save your last drop of fizz as you shuffle from central Regent’s Park to Primrose Hill for a final sunset glass.
