If you're lucky enough to be watching Norrie, Ruud and Djokovic play the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic at the Hurlingham Club this week, take a moment to admire the most winning tennis kit in the world, worn by the ball kids, officials and ushers, available to you, and created by Mr. Armani himself.

Off to the tennis at Hurlingham Club this week? Known as the “perfect warm-up to Wimbledon”, the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic at Hurlingham Club is a grass-court exhibition tournament featuring some of the top players from the ATP tour.

It kicks off on June 27th at the Hurlingham Club in Chelsea, and promises some of the best players on the circuit from Novak Djokovic to Cameron Norrie, a week of thrilling tennis, and even a Giorgio Armani fashion show, which takes place on Wednesday 28th to a crowd of 1400 people.

Fashion and sport often make excellent bedfellows, and this is especially true where tennis is concerned. It's a sport that allows us all - both on court and off - to unashamedly hanker for a crisp white polo shirt and tennis shoes, a smart pair of shorts, bold stripes and well-cut blazers without feeling like we are auditioning as extras in a remake of Chariots of Fire.

With the Giorgio Armani Classic now in its 27th year, and presenting the best players in the world, it's fair to say the designer knows everything possible about how to make the sport and its spectators look effortlessly stylish and appropriate to the occasion.

Last year, and again this year, he has created kit for the courtside team of ball kids, ushers and officials, which will be available in limited numbers at special pop-up at The Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic as well as Giorgio Armani Flagship store on Sloane Street.

This augments his wider tennis-inspired fashion collection which stands out for both its subtlety, and it's fashion relevance. There are no screaming logos - and while timeless, it is not at all old fashioned.

If you're looking for the ultimate boyishly chic white suit you'll find it here. Or how about an an elegant navy suit with a slim double-breasted jacket, and a trouser cut on a slight curve, that crops at the ankle?  There's one of these too. Plus a silk navy evening shirt with balloon sleeves, and everyday white shirts and polos cut just-so to slim the body.

Sportswear fashion fans are, of course, not overlooked, and will find loose fit and crisply tailored shorts, an oversized white denim jacket, and,  very well-thought out kit in which to actually play tennis.
