The Rooms

Designed with both tranquillity and indulgence in mind, spa lodges at Gilpin Hotel radiate with pristine wooden floors, soaring glass windows and an indoor-outdoor spa philosophy that includes your very own steam room, rain maker shower and statement oval stone bath, as well as an outdoor sauna and hydrotherapy hot tub. Afternoons here are easily spent hopping from steam room to sauna to sky-blue jacuzzi, overlooking resplendent garden views, with a glass of Champagne in hand. As the evening goes on, an integrated Sonos sound system, moody lighting and a roaring fire set the ambience, before it becomes the time to make use of your Pure Lakes luxury creams and fall into your king-size bed.

The Food and Drink

With Michelin-starred dining on site, an experience at SOURCE restaurant is not to be missed. Led by Head Chef Kevin Scanlan, tasting menus play on standout local produce with French, Japanese and sometimes just simply imaginative twists. From miniature savoury choux pastry and onion tartlets to long grown heritage beef barbecued with pickled kohlrabi, dishes are lively, intricate and intensely flavourful. Moody electric red lighting and composed sets of sleek tables make for an indulgently romantic setting.
