This iconic Portuguese café is a great place to come and mingle with the Portuguese community over an authentic pastel de nata and a milky coffee. It’s also a good spot to people-watch and admire Trellick Tower – one of my favourite buildings in London.

Clarke’s 124 Kensington Church Street, W8 4BH

I love to come here for lunch. Sally Clarke is a tremendous chef and a pioneer of seasonal and organic British cuisine. The daily-changing menu is always a delight.

Michanicou Brothers 2 Clarendon Road, W11 3AA

This family-owned greengrocer has been a staple of Notting Hill for over 50 years. I love to come here at the weekend with my family to stock up on our fruit and vegetables for the following week.

Electric Cinema 191 Portobello Road, W11 2ED

This cinema is probably the best in London. Not only is it a beautiful Edwardian space, but it also has luxurious seating and incredible food and drink. It’s always a pleasure to watch a film on its screens.

Rough Trade West 130 Talbot Road, W11 1JA

I am a huge fan of vinyl, and I love to come in on a weekend and browse through the eclectic catalogue of records. It’s also a great place to turn off your phone and get lost in the music.

Couverture & The Garbstore188 Kensington Park Road, W11 2ES

This minimalist, creative concept store is a real hidden gem. Housed in a three-storey townhouse, it is best independent shop to buy quirky and fun clothes offering pieces from a well-edited selection of designers from all over the globe.

Summerill and Bishop 100 Portland Road, W11 4LQ

Summerill and Bishop is a quaint little independent shop that stocks a great selection of well-curated gifts and homeware, from linen tablecloths to lovely glassware. Whenever I go in I always come away with something beautiful.
