Valerie Messika, founder and creative director of eponymous French jewellery brand Messika, shares her favourite haunts in Chelsea when business brings her to London

Blakes Hotel

33 Roland Gardens, SW7 3PF

Known as the “couture” hotel, Blakes is the perfect place to stay in London. The service is impeccable and always very thoughtful.

Victoria & Albert Museum

Cromwell Road, SW7 2RL

As an art lover, I always take time to visit the V&A and stop for a tea in its café.

Ushvani Spa

1 Cadogan Gardens, SW3 2RJ

This beautiful hidden spa offers a real moment of relaxation. The service is wonderful with incredible massages and body treatments.

Saatchi London Gallery

Duke of York’s HQ, SW3 4RY

I love going to this tranquil contemporary art gallery and always discover new and exciting artists.

Chelsea Physic Garden

66 Royal Hospital Road, SW3 4HS

I really enjoy walking in Chelsea and exploring hidden places. The Chelsea Physic Garden, one of the oldest gardens in England, lets you be surrounded by nature.

350 King’s Road, SW3 5UU

What I love about Bluebird is that you can have whatever you want, at any time. I love sitting in the courtyard while enjoying a coffee with a magazine.

Gaucho Sloane

89 Sloane Avenue, SW3 3DX

This restaurant is one of my favourites. I love the way it brings distinct and authentic Argentinian flavours to its food and drink.

Restaurant Ours

264 Brompton Road, SW3 2AS

I was enchanted by this restaurant and love its concept – bringing the outside in.

Baar & Bass

336 King’s Road, SW3 5UR

This exciting boutique has an eclectic mix of fashion and lifestyle and has introduced me to new designers and exclusive brands
