Gourmands rejoice – St James’s London Restaurant Festival is back this October with a whole new range of tours and tasting menus to tantalize taste buds

While other autumnal months are devoted to art aficionados and fashionistas, October in London is reserved for the gourmands among us. For the duration of the month, the London Restaurant Festival takes over the best restaurants across our Capital, offering two main elements: Restaurant Experiences and Festival Menus.

We are especially looking forward to the restaurant hopping tours through St James’s top restaurants. For those wanting something that will leave you a little less full, the tasting menus are ideal. Avenue’s Yuzu meringue and Quaglino’s saffron risotto with swiss chard are looking particularly appealing…

The lucky ones with tickets to the Champagne Gourmet Odyssey hop on a vintage bus (equipped with free-flowing bubbly) for a gastronomic road trip, stopping at London’s hottest restaurants for each course.

For those wanting to go solo during the festival, we recommend opting for the specially curated menus at participating restaurants.

The festival has collaborated with Great British Chefs to offer an even more memorable experience, pairing tasting menus with wines--and the chefs themselves. Including partnerships with award-winning chefs Adam Simmonds, Chantelle Nicholson, Peter Gordon and Robin Gill. For the gastronomes among us that enjoy trying the newest spots, we recommend trying out the Gladden Brother's Rabbit (of The Shed fame) and HKK, the latest Hakkasan group arrival.

Cooking the Roux Way is a new edition this year, perfect for those comfortable behind a paring knife as well as a fish fork. With classes taught by celeb chefs such as Masterchef: The Professionals winner and Head Chef at Roux, Steve Groves, it's no wonder the event is practically sold out.
