Located a stone’s throw from Oxford Street, the award-winning Japanese restaurant is kicking off the year with a new series of paired food/drink events

Contemporary Japanese restaurant ROKA Mayfair is shaking up its gourmet offering with a new range of pairing dinner events set to run throughout 2017.

The first dedicated dinner will take place on April 6th, in celebration of the annual Japanese Doll Festival (also known as Hinamatsuti).

Each of the five courses will be paired with a different premium sake from the Shirakabegura brewery, including a five-year-old, cold-aged Koshu sake imported from Japan for the occasion. In keeping with the traditions of the time-honoured festival, ROKA staff will be dressed in elaborate kimonos, serving guests the custom bite-sized Hina-arare crackers.

The dinner itself will consist of the usual array of fresh sushi and flavoursome robata (charcoal-grilled) dishes for which ROKA is so popular for.

The Doll Festival sake-pairing dinner is priced at £90 per person. Be sure to keep an eye out for other special pairing dinners taking place at ROKA Mayfair later in the year.
