From the meandering coastline of the Costiera Amalfitana comes a remarkable bounty: silvery anchovies caught at dawn, terraced lemon groves ripening under the sun and now the Crockett & Jones Travel Loafer Collection.

As sophisticated as the setting it’s inspired by, the Crockett & Jones Travel Loafer Collection blends signature Italian style with traditional British craftsmanship. A Royal Household warrant holder, each pair of Crockett & Jones’ loafers is a testament to the uncompromising standards that have defined the brand for over 140 years. Founded in 1879 in Northampton, a historic hub for high-quality shoemaking, Crockett & Jones has dedicated more than a century to perfecting its craft.

Italian shoes have long been renowned as among the best footwear in the world, thanks to their craftsmanship, high-quality leather, elegance, and overall comfort. It is a standard that Crockett & Jones has always understood, and one that runs through every stitch of the new Travel Loafer. Wear them with casual linen trousers and seamlessly sink into La Dolce Vita.

The collection comprises two shoes, the Harvard 2 and Richmond 2. New for SS26, both loafers are, of course, designed with style in mind. That doesn’t mean, however, that comfort has been forgotten – an essential feature when walking through airports both home and away. Made with the finest Milled Calf, suede or cordovan, there’s no break-in period required, so you can transport them straight from the box and into a suitcase. Paired with flexi-welts, extra-flex shoulder insoles and the flexible City rubber sole, both models are perfect for travel mileage.

The Harvard 2 is an unlined version of Crockett & Jones’ Boston penny loafer. Developed on last 376, Harvard 2 features a closer heel fitting for a more secure fit, as well as a high level of resistance to water and oil-based substances, thanks to being treated with 'Scotchgard' during the tanning process. Its unlined construction offers a lighter, more flexible feel. Even if the Italian sunshine lets you down, your shoes certainly won’t. The Richmond 2, while sharing the extra-flex shoulder insoles and overall travel-friendly design, comes fully lined for added structure and support, making it a slightly more formal option compared to the Harvard 2.

Both models are anchored by the new flexible City rubber sole – an English design by Harboro Rubber Co - which offers the formality of a leather sole, but with the practicality, comfort and longevity of a rubber sole. It’s easy to see how the collection has already been dubbed the “most comfortable Goodyear-welted loafers in the world” by Jones. He also says it must be “worn to be believed” and that it’s the “does-it-all travel companion that combines all the proper support and build quality you’d expect from Crockett & Jones”.
