We love to be in-the-know, and this week we have something delectable for you to enjoy: the VIP launch of Mayfair Maison. This new rare fashion archive store in London’s Grosvenor Square pops-up for a three-day party-friendly designer sale this weekend, offering fashion heirlooms into the circular market, and you're invited.

Would you like to visit a rarely open-to-the-public Mayfair townhouse this weekend? What if that house was filled with rare high fashion and jewellery pieces from A-list design talent that needed second life, after seeing their first life take place on a runway or a red carpet?

This weekend you can. Enter the inaugural Mayfair Maison, which takes place this weekend at 38 Grosvenor Square, a recently restored Grade II listed architectural gem worth a visit for its grand spiral staircase alone.

As design circularity becomes ever more embedded in our thinking this sale couldn’t come at a more ideal time. The organisers of Mayfair Maison asked all the designers involved to curate pieces from their own collections, and they’ve stepped up admirably, choosing conversational pieces for the sale that have been worn on the catwalk, at premiers, or in celebrity shoots, giving this pop-up authentic design-led exclusivity. This sale will be the opposite of an end-of-season rummage for cast offs.

These are clothes made with luxury and longevity in mind, and with prices up to 80% off their RRP, this sale is a definite must-visit. Buying a piece means you not only honour the work and materials that have gone into the item, but you get to enjoy wearing it, before, perhaps, selling the item on again to keep the piece in use for as long as possible.

Designers involved include Roksanda, Jenny Packham and Huishan Zhang who share incredible evening wear pieces from their archive, Malone Souliers for modern shoes and boots, Pringle of Scotland’s timeless knitwear and forever fine jewellery from Stephen Webster.

Leading British designer Jenny Packham said: “Mayfair Maison is a fantastic idea for shoppers and designers alike. We get to curate a collection of our favourite items for sale whilst shoppers can find one-off pieces from a wonderful range of Mayfair designers in one place. It’s a special event for us and we can’t wait to see it all come together.”

The preview day takes place on October 13th, and sale opens to the public on Friday 14th October at 9am, and closes at 5pm on 16th October.

SPHERE’s highlights include Roksanda’s diaphanous Raeya dress worn by Emily Blunt at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in 2019, for £450, Pringle’s Scottish 100% cashmere jumper in Burgundy for 60% off at £158 (RRP £395), and Stephen Webster’s Lady Stardust Bolt Ring - if its good enough for Dua Lipa, it's perfect for us.
