For just under two months, Ken Kesey’s countercultural masterpiece will be adapted and on show at The Old Vic. Starring Aaron Pierre, of Mufasa: The Lion King and Rebel Ridge fame, alongside Giles Terera and Olivia Williams, it will be a staging that reignites the spirit of the original novel. The plot centres on Chief Bromden, a patient in a psychiatric facility, and the defiant Randle P McMurphy, who joins the ward and sparks a feeling of rebellion against the strict rule of Nurse Ratched.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest runs from 1st April to 23rd May 2026. Tickets can be reserved at oldvictheatre.com

Always Be Comedy at The Trafalgar on King’s Road

Comedy, things to do in London in April.
The Trafalgar is hosting comedy and live music in April.

As the main artery for shopping in Chelsea, the King’s Road is dotted with plenty of watering holes and pit stops. The most recent addition to these is The Trafalgar, the first pub to open on the King’s Road in over 100 years. And it’s not just a great spot to grab a pint. Performances from Harry Hill, double Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein, Nish Kumar, Sara Pascoe and Maisie Adams have catapulted The Trafalgar to top billing as Chelsea’s new hot spot for live entertainment. On the list of the recently announced Always Be Comedy spring events is the amazing Joel Dummet, set to perform on 2nd April and the hilarious Michelle De Swarte on 9th April. All to be enjoyed alongside half a dozen oysters and a glass of English sparkling wine.

Il Gattopardo's Easter menu.

Italy in the 60s may feel like a fever dream, one where you’re on the back of a moped, winding through cobbled streets, a scarf in your hair and large sunglasses on. But at Il Gattopardo, this fantasy feels truly viable. This month, the Mayfair restaurant launches a special Easter menu, Il Pranzo di Pasqua, celebrating traditional Italian dishes, as well as unveiling a new design of its new leopard print Easter Egg. In addition to generous antipasti spreads, the Easter specials include Torta Pasqualina, a crisp spinach ricotta pie with a poached egg and paprika hollandaise, an oven-baked lasagna with Black Angus ragù, a slow-roasted lamb leg with crispy courgette and more. The leopard print Easter egg is an iconic souvenir following your meal, or the perfect gift to take home to your very own Easter table.

Il Pranzo Di Pasqua is priced at £58 per guest. Bookings for Il Gattopardo can be made at gattopardo.restaurant. The Easter egg can be purchased at the restaurant.
