2019 marks 55 years of Daphne's, the iconic South Ken restaurant founded by renowned theatrical agent Daphne Rye (aka she who discovered Richard Burton). In recognition of its landmark birthday, guests can enjoy a programme of special celebratory offerings and events throughout the year, kicking off with RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which starts next week.

Collaborating with luxury china and porcelain makers Wedgwood - who are also hosting a Wedgwood Garden at the flower-filled show - diners with a sweet tooth can indulge a special treat served on Wedgwood's fine bone china. Exclusive to Daphne's, the Wedgwood Wild Strawberry dessert takes the form of a light strawberry-topped cheesecake and is available throughout the RHS Chelsea Flower Show's run. Complementing the summery fruits decorating dessert and dish (for the china is designed with Wedgwood's Wild Strawberry pattern, naturally) is an elegant floral installation will blossom across Daphne's Draycott Avenue façade, also lending a pretty touch of petals above the bar. The British bloom-inspired installation can be enjoyed throughout the summer, including such events as Wimbledon and the Queen's Club Championships.

The Wedgwood Wild Strawberry dessert will be available as part of Daphne’s Chelsea Flower Show set menu, available 12pm-6pm, from 15-25 May. For more details, please visit daphnes-restaurant.co.uk
