Champagne Bollinger Unveils Limited Editon Special Cuvée 007

Champagne and James Bond go together like a tuxedo and a red carpet. Fortunately, all four elements were present at Spencer House this week as Champagne Bollinger celebrated 45 years as the Official Champagne of James Bond. To mark the occasion, the iconic maison unveiled the Special Cuvée 007 Limited Edition.

This exclusive release is housed in a sleek, black collector’s box and the font features a striking gold gun barrel motif with Bond’s silhouette at its centre, enhanced by metallic embossing, the Bollinger name in gold, and the 007 logo.

The evening drew the great and the good from the hospitality, wine and media worlds, who, alongside the Champagne Bollinger and Mentzendorff teams, enjoyed the Special Cuvée 007 Limited Edition served in Jeroboams. Sips were taken in between roulette spins to the soundtrack of live music and a DJ set.

For sustenance, besides the obvious liquid diet, guests were served delicious and cleverly designed canapés — a firm favourite was the white tie macarons. As was the caviar tray, which made its way round throughout the night.

Showcasing the depth of the partnership, on display were various props and costumes from the 007 franchise. The legendary Aston Martin, for one, was positioned at the entrance of Spencer House. Bond’s tuxedo, of course, also made an appearance, as did his handgun and watch, and the stag statue from Skyfall. In a nod to Daniel Craig’s final performance, the exact outfit he wore in his final scene was featured.
