Le Caprice has launched a bespoke Aperitivo menu, featuring classic Italian cocktails and a sharing platter – perfect for those in need of an escape from the bustle of Piccadilly

Since Mario Gallati, former Maître d’ of The Ivy, opened its doors in 1947, Le Caprice has been a social institution, favourited by the likes of Diana and international businessmen for long lunches and late dinners. In 2011, famed designer Martin Brudnizki gave the eating establishment a makeover with touches of black marble and ivory onyx, bringing the restaurant up to speed with the capital’s design-led norm. Seventy years later, Le Caprice still remains a delight among its Bond Street devotees.

The new Aperitivo menu, affectionately named ‘A Taste of Caprice’, is perfect for those who’d rather their ‘raw food diet’ consists of caviar and steak tartar.

The menu boasts the restaurant’s classics—think steak tartare topped with a vibrant orange egg yolk and crispy duck and watermelon salad. However, we favourite a few of the new additions—a tuna ceviche with fresh avocado, chilli and lime that goes down deliciously with the Garibaldi cocktail of Campari and fresh orange.

For those wanting something a bit more indulgent, you can add Laurent Perrier Champagne and platinum caviar and blinis—which, undoubtedly, is highly recommended.

‘A Taste of Caprice’ is available at Le Caprice all day from lunchtime, Monday – Sunday, priced at £35 with supplements of £38.50 for caviar and £25 for a half bottle of Laurent Perrier. For more information please visit www.le-caprice.co.uk
