Royal Salute 30 Year Old Cask at the Bulgari hotel

Royal Salute has teamed up with the Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge for a series of very exclusive whisky tasting sessions

“Every drop of this whisky is at least 30 years old,” says the Duke of Argyll swirling the amber liquid around his glass. We are sitting in the sleek surrounds of the Bulgari Hotel Knightsbridge sampling Royal Salute’s latest expression the 30 Year Old Flask Edition. With notes of peach and caramel the blend is surprisingly light especially for a cask-strength whisky that is served at a punchy 51%.

Celebrating the launch of this blend, Royal Salute has teamed up with the Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge for a series of very exclusive tasting sessions for up to four people per session. Hosted by the Duke of Argyll and Royal Salute’s UK brand ambassador Phil Huckle those who manage to book onto the tasting sessions will be served a Royal Salute 21 cocktail on arrival to sip while learning about the history of the brand from the Duke of Argyll. Following this, each guest will be able to sample a dram of the 30 Year Old Cask Edition while being taken through the aromas and complexities of the whisky by Phil Huckle.

Originally launched as a tribute to the Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her coronation, the whisky is named after the traditional naval 21-gun salute that is regarded as the highest form of respect. The limited edition flask itself is also a thing of beauty. Designed by designer Afroditi it is crafted entirely from sapphire blue British porcelain and comes with a smaller flask to decant the whisky into when you travel.

Kicking off on the 21st of June, there will be two tasting sessions per evening on the 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th of June. Tickets will cost from £300 for two people up to £600 for four. Royal Salute 30 Year Old Flask Edition is exclusively available from Harrods. Tanqueray No. TEN Terraces Pop Up Across London

Bars around London partner with Tanqueray this summer on a series of summer drinks terraces offering different cocktails

As the evenings grow longer, there is no better way to while away the sunny evenings than with a gin and tonic in hand. Partnering with a selection of bars around London, Tanqueray No. TEN has created the ultimate spots to sip classic G&Ts or gin-based cocktails for London Food Month. Transforming each spot into a hidden garden, Tanqueray brings the flavours of summer to life with different cocktails and flavour combinations at each location.

Embrace a quintessentially British summer at the Rosewood London’s GQ Bar, with a garden inspired by the fresh appeal of Tanqueray (think herbs and citrus fresh from the garden); or opt for a flavour of the East at Covent Garden’s St Martin’s Lane hotel that extends a Asian-fusion offering. If you prefer something a little more classic, St Martin’s Lane also offers a G&T afternoon.

Gaucho’s sites around London are also taking part in the fun by launching terraces at each of their sites. There guests can sit back with a gin-cocktail surrounded by an aromatic citrus garden.
