Summer is officially in full swing and what better way than to while away these halcyon days than by flicking through a copy of the Summer edition of Sphere Magazine.

This issue we’ve partnered with Aston Martin to celebrate the icon — on wheels, in jewelled form, and epitomised by tastemakers, artists and craftsmen. The beautiful bespoke cover is by Malika Favre, one of Europe’s most sought-after graphic artists, known for her inimitable style, which has graced the covers of The New Yorker.

Aston Martin reveals its most pioneering luxury SUV to date, as Jonathan Bell discovers when he gets behind the wheel for a Sardinian adventure in the new DBX707.

Our photo story this issue brings female photographers to the fore as the Association of Photographers shares stories and inspirational shots from some of its top image-makers.

Simon Brooke profiles the new movers, shaker and luxury makers, from cutting-edge menswear designer Bianca Saunders to recent LVMH prize winner Nensi Dojaka.

Avril Groom’s story on sublime transformable jewels — all eligible heirlooms for future generations is a riveting read and we dig into  Ewan Venters’ interesting shift from helming  Fortnum & Mason to running the forward-thinking gallery, Hauser & Wirth.

Also celebrating a milestone is Tom Dixon, who has been crafting his stylish pieces for the past 20 years and continues to make waves.

Elsewhere, John Arlidge investigates how Dubai’s star is shining bright, and Zoe Dare Hall celebrates a South Bank renaissance.

From Orlando Hamilton’s tablescaping masterclass to all that’s new for the home, plus travel, food, drink and fashion, this bumper packed issue will keep you entertained and informed whilst you lick your luxury ice-cream.
