New to Knightsbridge’s iconic department store, the intimate basement bar has been launched in collaboration with French crystal brand Baccarat

A new addition to the world's most famous luxury department store, the Baccarat Bar is now open for business at Harrods. Initially launching with a modified capacity of 23 guests, it makes for an ideal place for people to reconnect over an expertly crafted serve. Not least, it's rather beautiful - as the name suggests, the bar is a collaboration with renowned crystal maker Baccarat, complete with glittering chandeliers, decor and glassware.

Along with an external entry on Hans Crescent, the Baccarat Bar has a second entrance located on Harrods' lower ground floor, opposite the cigar lounge - making for easy access between two of life's greatest indulgences.

Following the crystalline theme, the signature drinks menu is inspired by the rainbow hues produced when white light is refracted through glass, as well as the given emotions that each of the seven colours is said to represent. Each colour comes in a choice of two cocktails, served in its own Baccarat glass.

For instance, the punchy 'Push The Button', made with Dalmore Cigar malt whisky, Japanese knotweed and birch sap, encapsulates the power of the colour red - and looks rather elegant in a double-chamber Mosaique Tumbler Moss glass. Meanwhile, the mysterious aspect of violet is translated into 'Hat - Trick', an intriguing combination of mezcal, banana wine, compact caramelised dairy and cinchona bark in a Louxor Tumbler.

The cocktail offering will be updated every six months, as guest bartender creations promise to add novelty. Alongside the signatures are a number of classic cocktails, with wines, Champagnes, spirits and beers also available, while food options will also be on offer from Harrods' in-house chefs.
