This season, the heritage British brand is expanding its accessories range with a stylish set of four limited-edition shades for men and women

While many may associate Purdey with its 206-year English shooting associations, since 1974 the brand has also made a name for itself in the crafting of smart, quintessentially British clothing and accessories. New for spring, a new limited-edition collection takes the form of four sunglasses looks designed to stand the test of time as modern classics, inspired by Purdey’s spirit of adventure. While international travel may not be an option for the foreseeable future, there’s nothing wrong with looking the part as we edge closer to summer.

Within the collection, The Keeper is understatedly modern in textures of tortoiseshell and titanium, while unisex The Weekender offers a novel take on the wayfarer with ruthenium fittings and gun chequering detail. There is also The Traveller, modelled on the aviator with a titanium frame and a brow made from walnut sourced from stock blanks, as The Sportsman takes a more technical stance with three sets of interchangeable lenses that allow the wearer to adapt to shifting weathers and climates.

All four styles have lenses treated with an AR (anti-reflective) coating to improve vision and reduce strain, while a Ripel treatment helps to ward moisture and dirt. Each pair is also handmade in japan – with the exception of The Weekender which is handmade in Italy – and comes engraved with a unique Purdey serial number for authenticity.
